Pool/Spa News:

Congress has approved the “Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act” - Title XIV of H.R. 6 (.pdf)
The bill addresses entrapment prevention and protective barriers around pools, spas, and hot tubs.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH

Recreational Health Program

The purpose of our recreational health program is to ensure the safe and sanitary operation of public swimming facilities. The West Slope also oversees the food handling and sewage disposal by commercial rafting outfitters operating on the South Fork of the American River.
