The County of El Dorado oversees the maintenance and operation of 16 cemeteries [tabs above]. However, there are over 100 cemeteries in the county. Most of these are old pioneer cemeteries that have long since been closed to public burial. There are also several privately operated, fraternal and church cemeteries available for interments.

We currently only offer ground plots for sale at Georgetown-Renke Annex, Georgia Slide, Pilot Hill, and Placerville Union. Placerville Union also offers crypts and niches.

St. Michael’s and the old County Hospital cemeteries are closed to any further burials. The remaining cemeteries offer burial to those who already have a plot reserved or have a family plot available.
