IHSS Advisory Committee, appointed by the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors, provides advice on the In-Home Supportive Services to the Board of Supervisors and the Public Authority. Advisory members stay informed on issues affecting recipients and providers in the IHSS program.

The County of El Dorado In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Advisory Committee’s mission is to support in the development of quality services for individuals in their homes, to maintain independent living, and to provide relevant community education.

The eleven member committee is composed of six current or past recipients of personal care services, two current providers of IHSS services, and three human services professionals (community members) who volunteer their time and effort to improve IHSS and the Public Authority.

There are currently two Advisory Committee vacancies for consumer members at this time. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply. Click here to download an application. Meetings are once a month on the third Monday of each month (no meeting in July and December) from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Most meetings are local and all efforts are made for transportation accessibility. The meeting is also accessible via conference call.
